Jerry Seinfeld Challenges the Politically Correct College Culture

When one of the funniest men alive, Jerry Seinfeld, can’t even tell his jokes on our college campuses because of how PC our culture has become, maybe it’s time to acknowledge how ridiculous things have gotten.

During an interview with ESPN Radio, Jerry Seinfeld said that he has been warned not to perform on college campuses because of how PC the students have become.

Mediaite has more:

As an example, he brought up how his wife told their daughter, “In the next couple of years, I think maybe you’re going to want to hang around the city more on the weekends so you can see boys,” and their daughter responded by saying that’s “sexist.”

Seinfeld said. “They just want to use these words. ‘That’s racist, that’s sexist, that’s prejudice.’ They don’t even know what they’re talking about.”

I agree with Seinfeld. Young people have become way too sensitive when they can’t even appreciate a good joke.   Peggy Noonan recently asked of the PC Police, “Are you a bunch of frail and sensitive little bullies? Is it possible you’re not intimidated but intimidators?”

Jerry Seinfeld, one of the most clever culture commentators, seems to agree.

In efforts to be PC, our culture takes words that are very serious words and dilutes them by applying them to trivial things. Let’s reserve words like “racist”, “sexist”, and “prejudice” for things that actually are racist, sexist, and prejudiced.

Thank you, Jerry, for calling out the absurdity, just like you’ve always done.
