Life Hack: 7 Ways to Give Good Vibes Instead of Presents This Christmas Season

Life Hack: 7 Ways to Give Good Vibes Instead of Presents This Christmas Season December 7, 2017

It’s that time of the year again! Christmas is right around the corner, and if you’re like me you’re already beginning to feel the stress that comes with the holiday season. Aside from tight schedules and busy malls, there is absolutely *nothing* worse than worrying about finding the perfect gift for your loved ones and those in need. Well, fret not Christmas shopper! You already have the perfect gift – your good vibes!

Below are 7 great ways to gift your good vibes and have the anxiety-free Christmas season you have only dreamed about!  So grab a warm blanket, some hot cocoa, and your favorite expensive ugly Christmas sweater because positive, merry Christmas vibes are on the way!

1) Buy Something Plush and Expensive for Yourself

Before you can gift any good vibes, you must make them! That’s why number one on our list is aimed at organically sourcing the good vibes you need to make through the holiday season. The easiest and most effective way to do this (and in turn care for others) is to TREAT YO’ SELF!  We recommend taking your entire Christmas budget and splurging on a few of those plush wish list items.

Ideas include: high-end multimedia systems, beats headphones, a Rolex watch, some diamond jewelry, an expensive russian hat, or (my personal favorite) the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer. The choice is yours! Once purchased, you will store up for yourself a treasure of good vibes that are ready to be boxed, shared, and channeled for the entire Christmas season.

2) Pack Up Your Good Vibes Like This

Good Vibes Box

If you followed the first item on our list, your good vibes and positive feelings are bursting at the seams! Now is the perfect time to get them boxed up. Make sure you use a large durable box.

This is great gift idea for the those you don’t know well – such as, acquaintances, your favorite boy band, or the homeless.

PRO TIP: Avoid using wet/soggy boxes. Also, try to not use any box with a picture of a real product on the side – this will only get their hopes up.

3) Remember all the Times Your Outfit was on Fleek

Simply remembering those times when you totes nailed your outfit is great way to channel that energy to your less fashionable friends and frados (ie. all your friends).

4) Bust a Moby to Your Favorite Vampire Weekend Christmas Album

Music is a great way to share the jolly vibes with those in your community who can’t dance, such as the elderly. Odds are they can’t lift a cane to what you can do! So get moving and put a smile on those toothless faces!

PRO TIP: Share on Social Media with the hashtag #YOLO for an unprecedented amount digital good vibes.

5) Watch all the Hallmark Christmas Movies

This technique is really powerful – so listen close! Starting in October, Hallmark runs Christmas themed movies every weekend. Over the years, they have amassed hundreds to choose from. There is an arsenal of good vibes just waiting to be used. The variety of characters and situations offers a plethora of channels for almost any good vibe needed situation. Are you giddy? You should be!

Want to send some best wishes and positive feels to some soldiers? Watch a movie with a marine and BAM! Good vibes sent! Want to offer some help to those friends getting a divorce? Watch a romantically themed movie and SAVE THEIR MARRIAGE! The choices are almost endless and so are the merry vibes.

6) Imagine Donating Money to the Salvation Army

You’ve see those guys with the Christmas hat and little bell at every store around Christmas. Well, imagine what it would be like if you *actually* donated some spare change and the joy that would give you. Incredible, right?!

Pro Tip: Don’t actually donate money! You’re giving the gift that keeps on giving – good vibes. Plus, if you’re doing things correctly, you ALREADY spent all your money that on that premium banana slicer (see list item 1)

7) Avoid Spending Time with Your Family

One of the easiest ways to get bummed out in the holiday is to spend it with your family. It seems no matter how hard we try,  a family squabble always breaks out during the holiday season. Family Drama?  NO, THANK YOU!

We suggest spending Christmas on your own, with your bae, or with your dog you pretend is a human child. This is the only way to make sure your good vibes won’t get poisoned by those Debbie-Downers in your family tree! Separated from the drama, you are free to meditate on how calm things are and you can now pass those vibes on to your loved ones.
