Pastorum Conference June 5-6 (Chicago) – Great Speakers!

Seminary education in two days? Not quite, but, wow!, I am very impressed with the lineup of speakers at Pastorum Live (put on by the friendly folks at Logos).

John Walton
Scot McKnight
Peter Enns
Craig Evans
Dan Block
Warren Carter
Roy Ciampa
Michael Goheen
David Garland
Sean McDonough
Nicholas Perrin
Eckhard Schabel
Mark Strauss
And more!
I will still be teaching around that time, so I won’t be attending, but especially if you are in the Chicago area, this seems like a “mark your calender” kind of occasion.
Let me just say, I am so excited that Roy Ciampa and Sean McDonough are involved in this because they were two of my favorite professors in seminary (Gordon-Conwell) and I am glad to know others have an opportunity to learn from them.
In terms of topics, I am particularly interested in these lecture titles:
“The Dead Sea Scrolls and New Testament Christology” (Craig Evans)
“Cross Purposes: Following Jesus in the Roman Empire (Warren Carter)
“The Sermon on the Mount as Gospel” (Scot McKnight)
“Reading the Bible to Equip the Church for Its Mission” (Michael Goheen)
