1. Put students first and send unions to the back of the bus

This is a vital first step. For too long, organized labor has lorded over the needs of children and DeVos is committed to reversing that order. Her spokesman Ed Patru says, “The interests of kids will always take priority.” He said DeVos will always ask if policies have the kids’ best interests in mind, or if it only benefits the education establishment.

Dr. Dwight Montgomery, head of the Memphis Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, praised DeVos when he said, “She’s not African American, but she’s concerned about our children.” Montgomery believes DeVos is dedicated to “make sure that every child is in an environment to receive the education that is in the best interest of the child.”
