William Federer, a low-rent David Barton without the erudition, has a Worldnetdaily column entitled “Why Belief in God is Necessary for Taking Oaths.” His answer is quite predictable — because belief in God (allegedly) makes you more likely to follow the oath. But there’s some obvious misinformation along the way:
Like David Barton and Donald Trump, Bryan Fischer has a habit of claiming that he never said things that he did say, presumably because they don’t realize that everything they say on their shows or in columns is recorded forever. Bryan Fischer still denies claiming that black people “rut like rabbits.”
David Barton joined a group of pastors and a few dozen members of Congress for a “Congressional-Clergy Town Hall” that was really just a chance for them to go all over the capitol building mumbling prayers. The goal? To defeat Satan, of course, and to bring about “revival.”
David Barton, not content to lie about American history, is now lying about his friend Rafael Cruz, Ted’s even more extremist father. In response to statements made about Fidel Castro’s death, he says that they should bring Rafael on the show because he lived through the Castro regime.
Glenn Beck had his pal, professional liar David Barton, on his show again and they spun an amusing tale about American history. Barton said that God waited more than 120 years to let the Pilgrims come to America so they had time to really understand the Bible.
Bill Federer, a poor man’s David Barton, is also a paranoid anti-Muslim crackpot, it turns out. Speaking at the Breaking the Silence conference recently, he said that the government is bringing in Syrian refugees so they can engage in terrorism, which will allow for the imposition of martial law.
I wish David Barton would make up his mind whether he wants to claim he has a PhD or not. He put up that video claiming to have one, then took it down the next day. Turns out it’s from a place that just hands out PhDs to famous Christians with no work at all. And now he’s back to claiming he has one again:
Professional liar David Barton is pulling out all the stops to get Donald Trump elected president. He’s already told Christians that if they don’t vote for Trump they’ll be disobeying God. Now he absolves them of any responsibility they might have for Trump’s actions in office.
Professional liar David Barton went on a Christian TV show to talk about his new “School of Practical Government” at Charis Bible College and they made quite clear that the core of what that school will teach is based on Christian dominionism.
David Barton’s doppleganger, Eric Metaxas, had Ann Coulter on his radio show and she argued that because she could find two atheists who are “never Trumpers,” this proves that it’s the fault of atheism. And she offers a bunch of gibberish to support that argument.
David Barton gave the opening address at his new “school of practical government” at the unaccredited Charis Bible College in Colorado and argued that bad weather, natural disasters and terrorism all result from adopting non-Biblical public policy. Because the Bible says so.
