The Christian right’s rhetoric about gay rights being “special rights” has always been incoherent and hypocritical. Bryan Fischer’s use of the term continues that tradition as he claims that unisex bathrooms with stalls are “special rights” for trans people.
Like David Barton and Donald Trump, Bryan Fischer has a habit of claiming that he never said things that he did say, presumably because they don’t realize that everything they say on their shows or in columns is recorded forever. Bryan Fischer still denies claiming that black people “rut like rabbits.”
Bryan Fischer continues to one-up even himself at being absolutely ridiculous. Now he suddenly thinks that winning the most acres is more important than winning the most votes in an election. He says Trump won 80% of the country, if you count it in square feet or something.
Bryan Fischer is making the utterly vile and ridiculous argument that anyone who works for the government should not be allowed to vote because they have a conflict of interest. I’m sure the soldiers fighting overseas will be happy to hear they can’t vote.
I give the Bryan Fischer award to those who are totally oblivious to their own contradictions because, with the possible exception of Donald Trump, he puts this trait on more obvious display than anyone on the planet. And he does it yet again about the First Amendment.
Bryan Fischer lashed out at Right Wing Watch on his radio show on Thursday because they often quote the unhinged and dishonest things he says. And that apparently makes him just like Jesus because they’re “trolling” him like the Pharisees did to him.
No useful lie ever dies, especially when it involves the Christian right — you know, those arbiters of morality who are so much more ethical than the rest of us. That’s why Bryan Fischer keeps repeating this lie about travel restrictions during the Ebola outbreak a couple years ago:
Bryan Fischer says that only anti-choice Christians are qualified to be judges in this country, no atheists need apply. Of course, he also thinks that the First Amendment applies only to Christians, so you might want to take that with about 14 tons of salt.
The tilt-a-whirl inside Bryan Fischer’s head has spun out yet another absolutely bizarre claim. Now he says that God is punishing America with diversity because if we speak different languages, we can’t communicate to commit more evil. Or something.
