The Conversion of St. Paul and other anti-Christians

Last Sunday was the day the Church commemorates the conversion of St. Paul.  Which reminds us that God can potentially break in upon anyone, including those who, like Saul of Tarsus, are most opposed to the Christian faith.

I know of non-believers who wish God would break in on them like He did with Paul and are resentful that He doesn’t.  And yet, such a desire for God, suppressed though it might be, can be a manifestation that God is, in fact, breaking in.

As our Pastor said in his sermon, God works in ordinary ways, as well as extraordinary ways:    See Rev. James Douthwaite,  St. Athanasius Lutheran Church: The Conversion of St. Paul Sermon.

Were any of you opponents of Christianity who then, like St. Paul, came to faith?  Could you tell how that happened
