To explain why I think this new edition of my book "Spirituality of the Cross" is needed today and how it addresses today's spiritual issues, it will be easiest to just reprint the new edition's Preface.
The third edition of my most popular and impactful book, "Spirituality of the Cross," has just been released. It's 42% bigger than the last version, with new material throughout, a new chapter on Christology, and details about my spiritual pilgrimage. And it speaks to today's spiritual climate.

Today, though, with the loss of faith, "identity" once again refers to what group you belong to.
