Translation: A good example

Psalm 55:17 (18 in Hebrew): “Evening, morning, and noon.” Notice how the English translations translate.

NRSV: “Evening, morning, and noon.”
TNIV: “Evening, morning, and noon.”
NLT: “Morning, noon, and night.”
The NLT thinks the original order (evening begins the day for Jews) could be confusing, so should be transformed into idiomatic English.
What thinkest thou, o brave translation thinker?
