So beautiful. So simple. So right.

So beautiful. So simple. So right. 2014-03-07T09:18:57-08:00

Meet Brandon Towns, an eighth-grade science teacher from Dayton, Ohio. He’s made the latest Not All Like That (NALT) Christians Project video. Here it is:

So beautiful. So simple. So right. Thank you, Brandon.

Affiliating with NALT yesterday was the Progressive Episcopal Church (PEC), a nationwide community of Episcopal churches. From the PEC website:

The Progressive Episcopal Church is an episcopal community of progressive Christians engaged in the mission of proclaiming and demonstrating the Gospel of Jesus Christ: the Good News of love. … A progressive Christian community is inclusive of all and exclusive of none and denounces discrimination based on gender, race, sexuality, nationality, language, culture, religion, disability or other distinguishing feature.

Does the PEC practice a Christianity that’s not … well, hardcore?

The Progressive Episcopal Church is inspired and guided by the historic faith described in the Apostles Creed and united by the Anglican Christian Heritage, the Historic Episcopate and the Sacraments.

So no. But:

The Progressive Episcopal Church seeks to maintain continuity with the ancient Christian traditions received from the past, while remaining open and adaptable to the changes new situations and understandings require.

And there we have it. Christianity as Christianity was meant to be. And, increasingly, every day and everywhere, is again. Praise be to God (as we Episcopalians say).

Thank you to all of you out there who are working to bring to the fore a Christianity that Christ himself would be proud of.

Make your own NALT video! It’s easy! Or at the very least please go like the NALT Christians Facebook page. Every new liker of that page shows the world that there’s one more person who agrees with what NALT is saying. That’s important.
