Yesterday, I blogged about the NBA-China rift over Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey’s somewhat innocuous tweet, at least to Americans, last weekend which supported democracy protestors in Hong Kong. Yesterday, General Manager Dale Morey of the NBA’s Houston Rockets (my old hometown team for forty years) made a statement in support of the eight-week old protest movement in Hong Kong regarding the “one state two systems” arrangement between Hong Kong and Communist China. In 1968, the Republicans put Tricky Dick in the White House. President Richard Nixon had to resign in 1974 or be impeached due to his many lies and coverup about the stupid Watergate break-in of the Democratic headquarters. U.S. President Donald Trump and Finland’s President Sauli Niinistö met today in the White House Oval Office and then held a nationally-televised press conference.
