From the news that makes you squirm, the Georgian-British singer, Katie Melua, discovered that a spider had been living in her ear. For a week she had heard rustling and shuffling and finally went to the doctor to have it checked out. You can see a video clip of the “little fella” they found on her official Instagram profile. Okay. It’s kinda cute, but I wouldn’t want it taking up residence in my ear!
How did the spider get inside Melua’s ear, you ask? Apparently it had been on a pair of in-ear monitors she had used to block out sound on a flight. So, yeah, I’ll be carefully examining headphones I use from now on.
Good news: the doctor removed the arachnid, and she took it home, releasing the seemingly alive-and-well spider into her garden. Seems Katie Melua has a Franciscan spirit–one more reason she’s one of my favorite singers!
