Twenty-six mistakenly-detained people were tortured, one of them frozen to death, and Dick Cheney has no problem with this. No problem. His words. Without a trace of regret, the former vice president applauds the detainment of people, guilty or innocent, and all that comes with it. He’d do it again in a minute.
We owe the innocent nothing, Cheney apparently believes. All that matters to this disgraceful man is achieving our objectives. Getting the bad guys.
