Sweet Tweets for 4/18/14 — The Good Friday Edition April 18, 2014

This has been a different Lent for me. The first without my sons at home, and a level of busyness in my work life that is unprecedented. As we approach the glory of Easter on Sunday, I’m divided between wishing in some ways for a Lenten extension to journey yet closer to Christ, and eagerly anticipating the joy of the Resurrection. I have turned so often to Christ this Lent in my own simple way to turn my work over to him, to seek sense in the stress and to offer my small sacrifices for all of those who suffer. Rather than dwelling upon the ways in which I’ve fallen short, I am thanking God today for his endless mercy. The example of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, is a beacon for us. With his teaching and that of our holy priests and bishops, we are sent into the world around us to bring Christ’s love.

The blog will be on a break through Easter Tuesday as I celebrate with my family. I wish you a Happy Easter!
