Join us for a Virtual “Grace of Yes” Book Club & Interview {with me}! November 2, 2014

GOY Book Club rect

Tomorrow is an exciting day for me — the “official launch” of my new book The Grace of Yes: Eight Virtues for Generous Living.

To say that I’m nervous would be a major understatement. Friends who have had an advance peek at the book have responded with a “Wow, you got pretty personal…” response that frankly has my stomach tied in knots. But it’s too late now to look backward with regret. And honestly, I’m so convicted about the message of this book that it’s worth some self exposure if it helps to get my point across.

cover-Grace-of-Yes-3D-e1414081629393-261x400To break open this book, we are planning a “virtual book club”. I believe that this process will be a beautiful way to not only read the book, but truly to dig into each of the eight virtues and to apply them in our lives. I’m amazingly excited to commence that conversation, because I believe that The Grace of Yes is a work in progress that just may possibly consume the next several years of my life. When you begin to look at life through the prism of “Yes”, you see people everywhere generously giving themselves over to God’s will for their lives and as a result serving the world around them!

I want to underscore that although the “virtual book club” is being hosted at CatholicMom.com, this is NOT intended to be a book solely for moms, for women, or even just for Catholics. In fact, I hope it will reach a broad community of new friends. If you’ve never read my prior work, I hope that this book will grab you and draw you in. I also hope that you’ll make a point of being a part of our virtual conversation for the next several weeks.

To get us rolling, Sarah Reinhard has shared a recent interview she conducted with me. You can read here some of what motivated this project and what I hope to accomplish with The Grace of Yes.
