EWTN News Nightly Looks Like a Winner

Recently released by EWTN, this promo for the new show EWTN News Nightly with Colleen Carroll Campbell has me truly excited. We watched — and fell in love with — Colleen during the recent Conclave coverage on EWTN. She was impeccably informed, true to the teachings of the Church and altogether charming in her sharing of those amazing events attendant to Pope Francis’ election and installation.

I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Colleen in person, but her book My Sisters the Saints has set a new benchmark for spiritual memoirs in my book and is on my “favorites” bookshelf. As her website bio shares, she’s had a remarkable professional career and seems ideally suited for the challenge of anchoring a nightly news broadcast from an informed Catholic perspective.

I’m very excited to watch the program’s debut episode on September 3rd and do pray that I will some day soon have the chance to meet Colleen in person. In the mean time, Colleen and the entire EWTN team will be in my prayers!
