15” x 30”Abitibi on Rainy River II explores the characteristics of the well established, iconic paper mill as an image of economic development (the ups and downs of its industry) as it relates to the natural characteristics of the surrounding landscape. The cascade of buildings and the juxtapositions of the pipes and shafts unify the composition.
