“We truly needed to get together on such a huge platform.”

Hina: I and my daughter marched for justice, racial equality, civil rights and to end hatred and discrimination at all levels. The environment of hate and division which was heightened to an astonishingly high level in this past election must end. It was heartwarming and encouraging to see hundreds of thousands of people from different walks of life who had poured in from all over the country, who similarly rejected hate and division in the society and embraced humanity, equality and freedom of speech. I believe we truly needed to get together on such a huge platform to be able to heal and move forward with more determination and resolve.
