Banning Movies – Parody That Sounds Too Real

There’s of a lot of films out right now that are upsetting the Evangelical Quiverfull world right now, from β€˜The Shack’ with it’s depiction of God as a LGBQT black woman to β€˜Beauty and the Beast’ and it’s brief depiction of a gay Lefou. They are ignoring the disturbing themes of kidnapping and holding someone against their will, Stockholm Syndrome and the vaguely bestiality theme of a girl in love with a buffalo-bear-pig being.

Right now even Duggar son-in-law Ben Seewald is ranting in long videos about the evils of β€˜The Shack’. This is sort of a parody of that.

The Try Guys of Buzz Feed, whom I usually love and adore, decided to poke fun at the religious right’s banning of all sorts of films by having Keith Habersberger act as the religion banner, explaining his choices. It was a dead-on impression, to the point where I started to be slightly triggered by this. He nailed it. Plus he does a much better job explaining why some movie are objectionable than Ben does.

Here’s Ben Seewald carrying on about β€˜The Shack’
