This morning I got up and as soon as I pulled up Facebook someone sent me this Youtube video of Steven Anderson working out interspersed with clips of former president Obama doing things like golfing, working out with small hand weights and horsing around trotting the halls of the White House with VP Joe Biden.

Anderson is trying to say that he’s a manlier man than our former president.

The comments below the video are disgusting and indicative of the types of folks Anderson attracts. A selection:

Although I am not for Obama or any political party, I find this nonsense to be ridiculous. You’re comparing Obama, who is almost 53, to you, a dude in his early 30s. There is a 20 year difference there, another generation. Plus you showing off surely doesn’t make you look like a so-called humble Christian. You’re just making an idiot out yourself and acting like a little 7-year-old boy.

At the very end of the video one of Anderson’s daughters does push ups. She does them quite well. But, of course, other ministries chime in that he should not allow his daughter to do so much exercise.

What type of insecurity and inner narcissism would drive someone to make a video like that? I painted the doors in my house yesterday without painters tape and did all the cut ins around the knobs and hardware without getting so much as a teensy smudge of paint on any of it. A personal accomplishment, yet I did not feel compelled to video it and post it on Youtube.
