by Lori Alexander from The Transformed Wife β βHath God Saidβ¦?β
Editorβs note: We all saw how Lori Alexander took Debi Pearlβs horrible book, rewrote it and republished the material like it was her original ideas in βThe Power of the Transformed Wifeβ. Apparently Debiβs new book βThe Hidden Help Meet: Stand By Your Manβ does not have enough material in it to do more than furnish some slight nagging, shaming and blaming ideas to one posting by Lori. Loriβs take on Denny Kensatonβs sermon is that claiming if you reject her ideas of being a stay at home wife and mother than God will punish you with ill health and mind.
Sadly, even βChristianβ women question God, βHath God saidβ¦?β Instead of answering their questions by going to the Word, they go to the culture or their feelings instead. βNo, God couldnβt want me to obey my husband because that will lead to abuse. No, God wouldnβt want be to be unhappy. No, God wouldnβt want me to suffer. No, God wouldnβt want me to give up my dreams and career to be a homemaker instead. No, God doesnβt want me to have any more children. Β No, God doesnβt really care if I wear a bikini or dress immodestly.β They make up their own god who is not God at all.
Women have told me that I hate women. No, I love God and His ways. I know His plan for women is how godly women are supposed to live and itβs perfect for them. Denny taught that a woman who has a career is a fish out of water. Sheβs not where sheβs supposed to be. Therefore, women are getting many more diseases, anxiety, and pain than ever before because they are away from where God wants them to be in their home and with their family. Women are to be home. This is their water. This is what is best for them. They are to be busy at home, not running here and there or having a career.
QUOTING QUIVERFULL is a regular feature of NLQ β we present the actual words of noted Quiverfull leaders, cultural enforcers and those that seek to keep women submitted to men and ask our readers: What do you think? Agree? Disagree? This is the place to state your opinion. Please, letβs keep it respectful β but at the same time, we encourage readers to examine the ideas of Quiverfull and Spiritual Abuse honestly and thoughtfully.
