Cheater and Molester Josh Duggar Sues Over Records Release!

Cheater and Molester Josh Duggar Sues Over Records Release! June 5, 2017

joshannaBreaking news from this afternoon of a rather disturbing thing – Josh Duggar is joining his sisters lawsuit against the local government and In Touch over the release of information on his molestation of his sisters. On what grounds could he possibly have grounds? FOIA requests on legal records happen, no matter what the local cop shop might say.

From TMZ

Josh Duggar now wants his own pound of flesh from the police and city officials 4 of his sisters are suing for releasing investigators’ reports on his molestation case.

Duggar filed documents to join the lawsuit Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy filed last month. In his docs, Josh says cops assured him his 2006 interview discussing the molestation of his sisters would remain private. He says since he wasn’t charged, the information wouldn’t have gone public … if the reports weren’t released to In Touch magazine.

Duggar says once the story came out, it caused him mental anguish and humiliation. He played up the sympathy card in the docs, saying he was “victimized and forced to relieve the painful and difficult circumstances of a traumatic experience as a juvenile.”

Just like his sisters … Josh wants damages from Springdale, Arkansas police, city and county prosecutors and the In Touch publishers.

Might have figured this would happen considering it has come out in the media this week that Josh is being added back into the family fold for the show. He and Anna were promoted in Duggar media releases during their son Marcus’ birthday party. US Magazine has been promoting Josh on their website after he’s been persona non-gratis for over two years now.

In Touch Weekly had one of those unnamed Duggar insiders say this about Josh’s return to the family and show:

Ratings for his younger sisters’ spin-off series, Jill & Jessa: Counting On have begun to slip — so the Duggar family patriarch, Jim Bob, devised a plan to not only save his family’s show (and primary source of income) but also revitalize his disgraced son’s career.

“He spent a month trying to convince TLC that Josh should be back on the show. They finally caved and agreed to let him film an upcoming Counting On webisode where he’ll talk about his joy at learning he’s going to be a father again,” the source explains. If the episode is well-received, “He’ll appear on the next season of Counting On.”

That was quick! The comments on the Duggar Instagram, Facebook and these articles are filled with Duggar supporters crowing how much they missed Josh and how great it is he’s returning are disgraceful. This man has enacted a pattern of abuse and disrespect since his teens, how can anyone ever be alright with that?

Notice to Duggar supports: Read and abide by our special Duggar Comments Rules or you will be blocked and your comment moved to You have been warned. This is not the place to be defending Josh. If he wasn’t famous he’d likely be in jail by now.

“victimized and forced to relieve the painful and difficult circumstances of a traumatic experience as a juvenile.”

How ANYONE can use this sentence in regards to Josh and not, say, the VICTIMS of his assault, is just beyond me. The fucking nerve of these people.

  • Snowflake

Well they are very Special Snowflakes (TM). /s

I also love it that there is a special Duggar Comment section.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

I had to do that back during the first reveals of Josh’s heinous behavior. It had been rumored about for years in QF before it came out, so it wasn’t a total surprise to everyone. But his fans really became deranged the more was revealed.

    The usual comment went:

Josh was a kid and all kids play ‘doctor’.
    Christian persecution ErhMahGawd!
The Duggars are GOOD PEOPLE you are lying about them!!
You are going to hell for judging the Duggars!

Not one statement from the fans on how sorry they were that the girls had been victimized, just that we should leave the family along because Jesus.

  • Saraquill

Have any of the Duggars consulted a lawyer while doing this suit? I’m not sure which is worse, the hubris in representing themselves, or that a law professional thinks this suit has a leg to stand on.

  • Mel

And there’s the problem with cultic thinking……

Let’s be honest: TLC removed Josh, Michelle and Jim Bob from the TV show because the outcry over the abuse allegations would have never stopped with those three running around on TV.

Putting Josh back on the show would be a disaster – even more so that the fact that the girls’ show is no more sustainable than the Duggar’s original show was. After all, how many weddings and babies can you watch before they all blur together?

  • Anonyme

Don’t want anguish and humilation, Joshy boy? You shouldn’t have (repeatedly!) molested your own sisters, the babysitter, or any other non-consenting and/or underage person. You knew it was wrong. You waited until your sisters were ASLEEP. Then you told Mommy and Daddy, who didn’t do shit, except to lie to the public that you got counseling and consequences.
Also, maybe this thing could have died out sooner for the family if Dim Bob (not a typo) and Michelle hadn’t dragged two of their victimized daughters onto ‘The Kelly File’ in an attempt to salvage the Golden Boy’s reputation.

  • Anonyme

When the news first broke and Joshy was rightfully called out, the Duggars’ rabid fans claimed that Josh was being “victimized” for a “mistake” (ignoring the fact that he assaulted his sisters repeatedly) and that people were just prejudiced against Christians/jealous of the supposedly perfect Duggar family/were being judgmental, etc.
No sympathy toward the real victims in this shitstorm.

  • Tailored

I am so disgusted he would claim his decision and then action to molest his little sisters have caused HIM trauma. F*** off Josh!

  • Nea

All right, everyone. Time to fire up the keyboards and tell TLC that we’re paying attention to their PR for a child molester.

(As for Josh… funny how he keeps making the same “mistake” throughout life. Is the joy of fatherhood yet again better than the joy of creating Ashley Madison accounts?)

  • paganheart

Josh’s pattern of behavior indicates he is a serial predator, and such people do not reform, period (especially when the only “help” they receive is from some unaccredited, unlicensed, unprofessionally staffed “Christian” program like the one Josh was sent to after the whole Ashley Madison scandal.) It is not a matter of if, but when, he re-offends. At some point I have absolutely no doubt he will be arrested, either for molesting more young girls, or having a shitload of child pornography stashed away on a computer somewhere. Mommy and Daddy won’t be around to protect him forever.

  • Michael Neville

There’s a Yiddish word which describes Josh Duggar perfectly: chutzpah.

  • Jim Jones

They’re suing for publicity and money. Amirite?

  • Snowflake

Yeah. I used to read about the Duggars on Libby Anne’s LJF site and freeginger. The defenders drove me crazy!

I’m an atheist, but if there was a god, I’m sure she would be pretty upset and would expect sincere penitence. I still blame the parents more. They should have gotten Josh and the girls professional help. Then after is was revealed, they go on tv with that Megan Kelly. Argh!!!

Excuse me. I have to go take some deep breaths. Which is why you probably have to have a special Duggar Commmenting Policy. I think I change from reasonable human to screaming harpie within seconds of hearing their name.

  • Aloha

He was a juvenile. Juvy crimes get treated differently because kids make a myriad of mistakes.

As far as the release of the information, however, I think it’s not worth a lawsuit. It was just one of those unfortunate incidents. Plus, I don’t think it’s true that things like this (sex abuse) need to stay private.

  • koolaidyarn

Your link to Jerks4Jesus doesn’t work.

  • mfm420

wouldn’t shock me if it comes out their lawyer(s) are either the a-holes at liberty council or alliance defending freedom (since both love to play the “christian persecution” card)

  • mfm420

free advice for josh (sorry for all caps and i’ll be nice and now swear): IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE KNOWN AS A CHILD MOLESTER, DON’T MOLEST CHILDREN IN THE FIRST PLACE!

it’s really sad his sisters are so brainwashed that they seem to see josh as the victim.

EDIT: i meant not instead of now, that’s what i get for posting before my adderall and energy drink kicks in)

  • So-called Christians can be forgiven for anything, but Kathy Griffin’s career is over?

  • Does Jimmy Swaggart still have a show?

  • Aunt Tabby

I wonder how Josh’s four victims feel about their ABUSER claiming the rights to join WITH them, as legitimate victims on their side of the courtroom? I am gob-smacked by the insensitivity! I can not believe that the sisters are are on board with this. Jim Bob and Michelle probably strong armed / patriarchy-ed their daughters into this. Once again their most precious/favored/male gendered first born Josh is as much a victim as a the family members he molested??? So sick.

When I try to visit the jerks4jesus site for good laugh I get redirected, but never get to the correct page.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

Happens sometimes with links in Patheos. Just type it in without the http:// or www. as Jerks4Jesus . com directly into your browser

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

Yeah, the coding at Patheos sometimes does that to it. Plus last week I’d forgotten to renew the domain and now it looks like it’s not redirecting correctly. I’ll need to take a look at the setting again

  • Of course Josh seems himself as the victim and not the predator. And you have to wonder if people aren’t defending him because they haven’t done the same things or worse.

  • After his scandal a friend going to LSU told me that his parking lot was nearly empty but on his show it looked like there were still crowds and that the word in Baton Rouge was that they were using old crowd footage to make it look (to tv audiences) like his church was still packed on Sundays.

No idea if he still has a show. Jim Bakker does, though.

  • Suzanne Harper Titkemeyer

I always have to check on what’s happening over at Brother Jimmy’s campus when I go on down to visit my mother there. The State of Louisiana started leasing some of his buildings along with other businesses, but his huge complex of buildings off Bluebonnet has been mostly a ghosttown since the scandal. One of my friends still involved with everything Evangelical tells me that his son Donny and wife Frances have a popular radio show now. They used to live a few blocks from my inlaws and you’d see them out and about in Baton Rouge for many years before the scandal living like the rich, big car, jewelry, expensive suits and hear the horror stories about the way they ran their ministries from the piles of fired employees. Truly loathsome people.

  • Maria

They have been forced to swallow the “Joshie Poo has repented and is washed clean in the eyes of the Lard” bulls***.

Nevermind that he is clearly a pervert and deviant. After all of the Ashley Madison stuff…

I can’t believe he’s having another kid. I wouldn’t let him back into the house much less my bed.

  • lady_black

I was thinking along the lines of schlemiel.

  • lady_black

    Once was a mistake.

  • texassa

This family has no shame. They will stoop to any low for money and fame.

  • Twice is suspicious.

Three times is a pattern of behavior.

  • texassa

He’s a victim of losing his reality television fame and associated income, and someone has to PAY!

  • texassa

They are probably all for it. Anything to get more $$$ for the family. And of course, the only real victimization has been to their public image (in their eyes). They stated over and over again that they couldn’t care less about the molestations; it’s the exposing by the cruel media that was wrong.

  • texassa

I wish he’d just hurry on with getting locked away so we can be rid of these people for good.

  • texassa

I have been a teenager. I knew you didn’t finger a 5-year-old and fondle the breasts of teenage guests as they slept. It’s pretty cut and dried.

  • Delilah Hart

One of the main things that bothers me the most is the fact that Josh Duggar didn’t get proper treatment for his problem. His “treatment” consisted of doing chores for another sexually dysfunctional person, Bill Gothard.

  • Delilah Hart

I had a friend in college whose adoptive parents were Assembly of God ministers and who had run a Christian kids’ camp during the 50s. Jimmy Swaggart was one of the many kids who came through, and he and my friend’s parents were close for many years afterwards. Shortly after the sex scandal broke, though, that all changed. One night, JS called my friend’s parents on the phone, bawling the same way he had done on TV and apologizing. My friend’s mom saw through him, though. She calmly told him that he was only sorry he had been caught and hung up on him.
