Encouraging Your Husband – Rub His Head!

EncouragingWe’ve moved into another chapter of Nancy Campbell’s book β€˜How to Encourage Your Husband’ – Chapter 7 It’s Your Touch. Yes, they wrote a chapter on why you should touch your husband. To me this seems so simple and elemental I cannot believe they actually have to spell it out. At least it’s not the sex chapter, but that’s Chapter 8.

While packing for a move I have turned up are books, terrible idiotic books filled with toxic advice. One of those books is by Nancy Campbell of Above Rubies β€˜How to Encourage Your Husband’. I think I ended up with this book in the aftermath of leaving my old church, given to me by one of my former friends that thought it would β€˜help’ my marriage since in her eyes my husband leaving our old church meant that I wasn’t doing my job of wife well enough. Reading through this book now I cannot help but laugh at some of the suggestions. The book is entirely written by commenters and comments from Nancy Campbell’s website.

Head Massage

When I slip my hand behind my husband’s head, he is instantly relaxed and calmed. A gentle rub of the scalp does wonders for his mood! Sometimes we are talking or he is reading the newspaper and I’ll just start to rub the back of his head and all is well with the world. The best times are when my Above Rubies magazine arrives, and I read articles to him while massaging. He loves it and so do I!

This one’s not too bad, but hold onto your air sickness bag, the next few are!
