Reading an excellent guest piece at Bruce Gerenscer’s blog The Life and Times of Bruce Gerenscer on modesty I came across one of Matt Walsh’s ridiculous pieces. This one insisting that America life, in particular feminists, teachers and mothers, were destroying boys well before puberty. According to Walsh too many women warp boys by being the primary figure in their lives.

I don’t know, but many times the pieces written by Matt Walsh come off as if he was inwardly identifying as ‘Incel’ or straight up woman-hating MRA Red Piller. This is much of the same. He bemoans the lack of positive father figures in families, yet seems to lay that lack at the feet of mothers as if to say they did something that ran off the man.

Make no mistake, that’s not what’s going on here in many of the single parent homes I’ve known. It’s not some feminist plot to get pregnant and symbolically bite the head off the male/remove him from the family. How about holding men responsible for leaving as much as he’s tried to do with single mothers?

I guess at least he is no longer whining about not having his own space in his home to ‘be a man’. I don’t think he really knows what being a man and a father really is. One of the best books I’ve read on the subject is former NFL player and actor Terry Crews – Manhood.

Just imagine the disaster if women abandoned teaching and also mothers abandoned children at the same rate as it seems men in our society do it. Walsh thinks kids are screwed up now, it is nothing compared to what would happen then. More fragile masculinity. Stop talking about being a man and just do it.
