No Longer Quivering
So we’ve seen how Quiverfull enforcers say there is no out or allowance for divorce for a husband that beats the snot out of you on a regular basis, or beats the children. What about cases where your husband is sexually molesting the children? According to No Greater Joy’s Michael Pearl it’s no divorce from a child molesting husband either.
Here’s Michael’s notion on how to handle sexual abuse of children in marriage:
Cover for him if he’s repentant???? Literal what the heck??? That would make you a conspirator in his crime. What type of message does that send to the children in the family who are the victims of his attention? That momma values daddy over their health and well-being? Oh no. Call the police EVERY time!
Michael Pearl’s advice, as usual, is borderline illegal, emotionally damaging and cringeworthy awful!
