No Longer Quivering
Debi Pearl of No Greater Joy is at it again. She is making big claims about her ‘brain grooving research without any scientific research to back what she’s saying. In this piece she first mentions some unnamed researchers that let her hang around while they scanned kids brains. Not likely to ever have happened. This is another Poe like all those letters to her and Michael. It is clear. Debi Pearl thinks book learning least important of all.
Two bizarre little snippets of her brain grooving nonsense:
I had to include the second paragraph that puts Debi’s first paragraph into sort of a lie catagory. I had similar experiences with various teachers who encouraged my scholarship. What she is describing is a very good thing that the best of educations can impart. But you and I both know that what Debi is describing is happening in her public school with a wide variety of highly educated professionals. Not in a homeschooled environment where momma might not even have a high school level of education. Not even remotely capable of instilling a deeper level of knowledge into their students.
Again, it takes an educated mother to pull off decent homeschooling without flawed gaps in the children’s knowledge. There’s no way that’s ever occurring in the Pearl fan base.
If you are going to homeschool I highly suggest you get an education yourself first, even if it’s only a few childhood education classes at a community college. Don’t be a Debi, please. Your childrens education is too important.
