Do Not Attend the Gay Wedding But Fornicator Weddings Are Good?

Do Not Attend the Gay Wedding But Fornicator Weddings Are Good? September 27, 2018

Stopped by John Piper’s Desiring God this morning and found this screed on attending weddings. The questioner wanted to know if it was right to not only shun the wedding of a gay friend, but also the wedding of hetero people who had been living togther before marriage. John Piper had quite a lot to say about sin, and levels of sin before coming out and saying to only shun the gay wedding. Why? Because homosexual cooties apparently. No, it is because he does not believe that gay people can possibly form deep love relationships that compare to those by heterosexuals.

It appears that some so-called sins are more acceptable than others. No, John Piper, you do not get to define what love, marriage and commitment look like. He’s not ranting about killing gays like Steven Anderson of Faithful Word Baptist, but he’s no better than Anderson with him rampant homophobia.
