Marital Rape is Merely Selfish Wives?

Marital Rape is Merely Selfish Wives? April 17, 2019

Screencap from YouTube. Meme made at imgflip.com

Found this at Things Godly Women Say and could not believe what I was seeing. Even if I know Lori Alexander is just awful enough to believe women that do not have sex upon demand are sinful. When Lori Alexander of The Transformed Wife gets something horribly wrong she takes it pretty far. Lori and followers believe that marital rape is not a real thing at all, just some petty excuse used by non submissive wives.

What they miss is that rape, any rape not just marital rape, is a crime of control and power. Not sex. It’s a violent act by a man to demonstrate his greater physical power over a woman. It’s not lust, it’s not sexual denial, it’s a sheer violent power struggle. Dominance.

I hardly know what to say reading through this pile of nonsense and claims marital rape does not even exist, that you as a woman have exactly zero rights over your body once you are married. It’s one thing to hate women so much that you have to constantly harangue them into following your badly cooked up scripture twisting, but it’s an entirely different level of hate to deny the nature of the abuse.

It seems to me that the worst and most toxic of Alexander’s ideas get cooked up, refined and flaunted in the cockroach nest that is her Facebook page and chatroom. But then again evil and other bad things tend to flourish in the darkness away from the view of others.

Okay, this starts off not quite as bad as where it goes. However I only am posting the worst of the screen caps. I’m not blacking out any names because the world does need to see who it is espousing these terrible toxic ideas of women being subjugated to sexual assault being no big deal. There are many more times when these things are said at Lori’s, but I am only posting a mere handful.

Do not listen to these voices. No one deserves to be raped, or assaulted. Chances are high that if you are being subjected to sexual violence like marital rape you are also being psychologically and physically abused by the same intimate partner. There is non judgement help available at places like RAINN and the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Please, please, get away from your abuser and know that there is help. You did nothing wrong. You don’t deserve it.

If only they could see the damage their toxic ideas about the Bible are doing to real flesh and blood women. I have tears in my eyes as I write this, thinking of the ladies that will read Lori’s words and take them to heart, feeling guilty for the bruises and violence, praying to be more submissive so that he’ll stop hurting them.
