Troubled

Troubled January 14, 2010

I’ve been trying to write several posts for a couple of days now. But nothing comes together. Today is Thursday, so I would usually be participating in Small Successes over at Faith and Family Live. But I’m not thinking about successes today.

I’m really just thankful that my family is safe and whole. That we have clean water and nourishing food. My heart is so heavy for Haiti. A whole nation leveled, families shattered. Humans trapped, crushed and dying, many without even knowing their Savior. Jesus must be weeping.

I have a friend who is in the middle of the paperwork nightmare of adoption. Her little boy is still in an orhanage in Haiti. He survived the earthquake, but will he survive the coming months of hunger and disease brought on by the destruction?

My heart aches for him, and for his mother in America that can do nothing but pray for him. She posted on her facebook the link to donate to the Orphanage where her son is being cared for, if you can help, please go here.

Here is a link to other ways you can help.

And above all, PRAY. Pray for the families, the mothers, the fathers, the children. Pray for the widows, the orphans, the elderly. Pray for an entire nation of our human brothers and sisters crying out in pain.

God have mercy on us.
