In this time of COVID, when so much is uncertain and death is all around us, the Stations of the Cross is there to take us back to the reality of our faith. We do not serve an earthly king. Our Lord is no titan who strides across empires dragging a sword and trailed by broken conquered people.

Our God is a God Who knows everything there is to know about suffering … and about human weakness and sin.

The Stations of the Cross can take us back there, to our own greatest sin, to His suffering and humiliation, to the beginning of our faith.
