Kurdish fighters have defeated ISIS in a battle for the Syrian city of Khobani. Seizure of Khobani, which is near the Turkish border, would have been a significant tactical victory for ISIS. Mitt Romney announced today that he will not run for President of the United States in 2016. I regard this announcement as something of a gift to the Republican party.
