Life isn’t something we really choose. It’s thrust upon us and then we have to deal with it. And everyone has a problem or two or one hundred and you have to choose to cope and you have to choose to figure it out and you have to choose to continue to do it.

There were times I didn’t really want to. I’m very glad I made that decision. You’ve all been there for me. I’m here for you too. There is no question in my mind I would not have been able to do this if I had not been so public about it. I open up about so many of the great parts of my life so it felt disingenuous to hide the really bad parts too.

Well, here we are, and I’m glad I don’t have to hide my problem. Thank you for being so loving. Thank you for reading these things I write.

Thank you for trying to understand those little bits and pieces that make me a person. A year ago I chose to live and every day I choose to continue to make that decision, and I’m very lucky, and I love you.

It’s June 10, 2015. Holy shit. What a day to be alive.
