Last week I posted a blog entitled, “Planned Parenthood Claims to Help Black Women, While Profiting Off the Murder of Black Babies.” Many responded to this post with frustration. ALL babies matter, they say.
Which, of course, is true. But it’s also good to shed some light on the hypocrisy of the ruthless and racist organization for what it does to the black community.
MY community.
I’m against abortion of any kind, performed on any women, of any race; but we can’t ignore the disproportionate number of black abortions performed by Planned Parenthood across the United States.
The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was an outspoken racist, affiliated with the KKK, and above all, a racial eugenicist. Not only was she a white supremacist, but she believed in the cleansing of the ‘lesser’ races. Sound familiar?
In Woman, Morality, and Birth Control. New York: New York Publishing Company, 1922. Page 12., Sanger once wrote:
We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.
Did you see that? “To exterminate the Negro population.”
This is the woman Planned Parenthood has turned into a role model. This is the woman who organized a company that would one day be responsible for planting 78% of their abortion clinics within walking distance from African American Communities. This the woman who is responsible for creating a gateway for the discriminatory abortion of black babies. According to the CDC’s most recent Abortion Surveillance Summaries, “Black women had the highest abortion rate, 29.7 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44 years, and [a ratio of] 459 abortions per 1,000 live births.”
Tell me Planned Parenthood hasn’t had a hand in this issue.
That’s why it enrages me to hear representatives of Planned Parenthood spew the words, “Black lives matter.”
The numbers don’t lie. .
It is not only my right, but by duty to expose lies for what they are and defend those closest to my heart—the African American women and children who do not have a voice of their own.
P.S. I once was in stirrups, waiting to get an abortion, when something miraculous happened. Read about how I came to see the light about abortion in my upcoming book.
