ACLU Leader Quits After Daughter’s Experience with Men in Women’s Bathroom

Progressives continue to implode and eat their own. In the latest display of absurdity, one of the only black directors of state ACLU chapters resigned this week. Why? Because, well, common sense prevails at the end of the day in the face of dangerous policies prioritizing the rights of men pretending to be women over innocent young girls.

Powerline Blog explains:

Maya Dillard Smith, interim director of the Georgia chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, has resigned over the ACLU’s position on who can use which public restrooms. The resignation occurred after her two daughters were traumatized by encountering men in the women’s restroom. Dillard Smith explained:

I have shared my personal experience of having taken my elementary school age daughters into a women’s restroom when shortly after three transgender young adults, over six feet [tall] with deep voices, entered. My children were visibly frightened, concerned about their safety and left asking lots of questions for which I, like many parents, was ill-prepared to answer.

Dillard Smith complained that the ACLU has become “a special interest organization that promotes not all, but certain progressive rights” and that the “hierarchy of rights” the ACLU chooses to defend or ignore is “based on who is funding the organization’s lobbying activities.”

And now, predictably, Dillard Smith is facing the wrath of LGBT activists, who are lobbing crazy insults and slurs at her.

The math is simple. LGBT activists give money to the ACLU, who in turn prioritize the rights of men wanting to be women and women wanting to be men over the rights of young children.

Good for you, Maya, for being brave enough to stand up and speak out. Enough IS enough.

The next time liberals tell you they care about black people and black children, remember this story. I can bet you one thing, it won’t be the last.
