I was moved to write this…
The presidential race, our country appearing to be falling apart at the seams. With issues like #BlackLivesMatter, illegal Immigration, Planned parenthood, Hillary Clinton actually thinking she can be the commander and chief of our great nation. I then come across this video of a solipsistic, self-made leader that has injected his energy into economically challenged communities.
There he was with his honeyed voice and custom-made suit… the Reverend Farrakhan urging his followers to commit murder.
I am looking for 10,000 in the midst of the millions, 10,000 fearless men who say death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny.
Death is sweeter than to continue to live and bury our children while the white folks give the killer hamburgers.
Death is sweeter than watching us slaughter each other to the joy of a 400-year old enemy.
The Koran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says, retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain.
Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breaths of those whose children have been slain. So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.”
Imagine that, a self-styled holy man professing to be intimate with the word and will of God Almighty. Rebel rousing in the name of racial justice. There has possibly never been a more obvious case of the ends do not justify the means than his repulsive rhetoric. Of course the Reverend has disgraced his faith with calls for revenge killings but more importantly he has distinguished himself as a false messenger. You cannot live and speak as a religious or community leader in the day of Pope Francis unless your principles actually embody the word of God.
And this all takes place in a day when unprincipled individuals armed with their emotional opinions demand attention at public restaurants, opera houses, awards shows and during rallies by socialist political candidates. Black lives do matter, and no doubt injustices exist in the world. But until communities are not obliged to call on the police to protect them from well-armed gangs, there will always be a need for powerful, well-armed police departments. It’s a turf war going on out there and one that’s getting increasingly dangerous. as drug cartels from south of the border infiltrate our cities. You are either a part of the solution or you are a part of the problem. Calling on willfully uninformed people to wage war against our police departments is a prime example of what is wrong with this country.
Build a community with values and through educated principled examples that ALL lives matter.
