Well, not every Republican lawmaker is so spineless that they’re willing to pretend that the recently released Mueller report “completely vindicates” Donald Trump. Three cheers for Utah Senator Mitt Romney. It’s not like this is Romney’s first time calling out the hay-haired mountebank. He rightly pointed out during the 2016 election that Trump was a “phony” and a “fraud.” Of course, there was also a time when Romney reverted to his usual wishy-washy self, when it looked as he was... Read more

Ok. We’re still unpacking some of the details nestled away within special counsel Robert Mueller’s mammoth report. A lot will be said over the next few weeks, regarding what is shown to be breathtaking deception and how utterly unfit for office Donald Trump has proven to be. Trump’s loyalists are calling this a victory, even though it was a victory gained by Trump firing Jeff Sessions and installing a grateful loyalist in William Barr. Barr made it painfully clear on... Read more

I’ve watched Attorney General William Barr’s ludicrous bit of Kabuki theater, where he pretended to be the attorney general of the United States, rather than Donald Trump’s personal fixer. If nothing else, we can wipe away any fog over that situation. Barr stood behind a lectern, before the press and the American people, and completely misrepresented what was included in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. In fact, very little Barr said bears a resemblance to the spirit of the report.... Read more

Did you really think he’d do it? The “he” in this case being Attorney General William Barr. The “do it” being to release the full report written by special counsel Robert Mueller, regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election, possible conspiracy by members of Donald Trump’s campaign team, and obstruction of an investigation by Donald Trump. To be more specific, did you really think Trump’s new fixer would let Congress see the report before running it past the White House... Read more

So let’s revisit the sordid tale of Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy Palm Beach, Florida financier who, thanks to the man who is now our nation’s Secretary of Labor, Alex Acosta, got a sweetheart deal on a sex trafficking rap. There’s little doubt that some uncomfortable things were going on in Epstein’s home and on his private plane, as far as underaged girls. Epstein got out of a serious charge of sex trafficking, with little more than a slap on the... Read more

Given the petty, craven, and retaliatory nature of the current presidential administration, along with the frothing groupies of the MAGA set, I get why some people in Washington may be feeling a bit of unease, with news that Congress will have special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report in their hands on Thursday. Just so this is properly understood, the public may not know what’s in the report on Thursday, depending on what Congress decides to do with what they’re given.... Read more

Well, this is good news. I’d even say great news, and an encouragement to keep fighting the good fight. Recently, I wrote about the movie, “Unplanned,” out in theaters now. The movie was taken from the book of the same name by Abby Johnson, formerly the youngest Planned Parenthood director in the history of the whole wretched organization. Johnson was a true believer in the cause of the industry, duped into believing Planned Parenthood was actually helping women, rather than... Read more

So after seven years of hiding from justice, tucked away in the Ecuadorian embassy, it appears that WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, has worn out his welcome (and it’s about time). On Thursday, officers entered the embassy, located in London, at the invitation of the ambassador and took Assange into custody. This followed the withdrawal of asylum by the Ecuadorian government, and at the request of United States authorities. “This is an extradition warrant under Section 73 of the Extradition Act,”... Read more

Bought and paid for, partisan to his very core. Well, I had a very small hope in the beginning that William Barr wouldn’t be the Trump-loyal hack that many feared. What we know for a certainty is that there would be no William Barr as our attorney general today, were it not for a hyper-critical opinion piece he authored that slammed Robert Mueller’s work on the Russia probe. Trump asked former FBI Director James Comey for loyalty. Trump repeatedly excoriated... Read more

So on Monday we talked about the forced resignation of Kirstjen Nielsen, the secretary of The Department of Homeland Security. What we know about her ouster was that she no longer enjoyed the favor of President Trump, or our shadow president, Jared Kushner. And if you don’t think the creepy fingerprints of Trump immigration adviser Stephen Miller are all over this, you haven’t been paying attention. What has also been reported is that Trump wanted Nielsen to take an even... Read more
