June is Pride Month in most parts of the US (though Pride festivities can and do certainly extend beyond this month). There are already several shared magic sigils that are specifically for the LGBTQI+ community, but during my latest virtual Sigil Witchery workshop took place on June 6th, we were inspired to create a new one: The Shine On Pride Sigil.
(In every Sigil Witchery workshop, as part of the class, we co-create a sigil using the method so that everyone can see how it is done in real time. Much thanks to the students who were a part of creating this sigil!)
This sigil focuses on celebrating Pride combined with safety, recognition, and amplifying the history, concepts, goals and needs behind Pride. To shine illumination on all of these ideas, as well as to celebrate the community!
Built Into This Sigil:
As it was the New Moon closest to the upcoming Solstice, we also decided to work some of that energy into this sigil.
- Solstice energy to amplify the sigil’s message
- New Moon energy that acts a seed for legacy and longevity, potential for growth
- healthy and compassionate communication (within the community and reaching beyond)
- supporting physical and mental health, stability, providing aid
- recognizing that pride started as a riot in many places and that we must still stand up for rights today – and each other.
- safety & protection
- stamina, grounded energy
- acceptance and love
- stimulate progress with real world effects & success
The Sigil:

What do with this sigil:
You are welcome to use this sigil however you see fit that is in alignment with the intent of the sigil. As long as it’s not used for profit/commercially, you can wear it, paint it, share it, draw it in appropriate places, use it in places where queer/LBTGQI+ rights are being violated or in danger. Tap into its energy to celebrate Pride!
You can find this sigil and others + other designs in my Threadless shop as well.
