For the “anyone but Trump” person, this image represents the GOP ticket, barely fit to wipe away products of human digestion.
BUT, had the GOP gotten its act together, had they paid attention to the post-mortem after the 2012 election debacle, had they become free from the rabid right-wing that engineered the anti-gay and anti-female platform, had they the collective wisdom early on to see how the popular media would play on the hidden but ever-present racism so informing the fear of the adult white male population, had they acknowledged that the country needs a centrist healer who can address economic realities and malaise with wisdom and knowledge, not a bombastic ignoramus. . .
Well, that’s me spouting. But I might have been able to vote Republican and still retained my Christian underpinnings.
As for the “anyone but Hillary” person . . . let’s face it: Hillary’s baggage is so great that way, way too many people are saying, “I’ll hold my nose and vote for her because the alternative is just unthinkable.”
This is a terrible way to choose the person who holds more power than anyone else in the world. Seriously.
And I’m off shortly to what will probably be the first of many appointments with a cardiac specialist. I will so miss my Superwoman emblem.
