It looks I’m going to be buying Osh Kosh for my grandkids. Eighteen month old Asher Nash, who has Down’s syndrome, is going to represent Osh Kosh in one of their ads for baby clothes. Couples are routinely pressured by doctors to kill their children with Down’s syndrome by aborting them. This is one of the excuses used to “explain” why late-term abortions are necessary. In truth, there is no reason for an abortion after 20 weeks. If the mother’s... Read more

So, Roger Stone has been sentenced. He didn’t get the 9 years prosecutors originally recommended. He also didn’t get the complete pass that Trump wanted. He was sentenced to 40 months prison time for lying to Congress and Witness Tampering. The real question is whether or not President Trump will jump right in and pardon Stone before he serves a day of his sentence. The president has been governing by tweet and threat of retaliation for a few weeks now.... Read more

This child is destined … to be a sign that will be spoken against. Simeon If we lose our freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth. Ronald Reagan.  Donald Trump is a monster. He is a traitor to America, a serial sexual predator, a corrupt, compulsive liar, and a nascent dictator with his thumb on America’s massive military and nuclear arsenal.  We have to fight him.  We have no choice but... Read more

“Evangelical voters, you can stay true to your faith and not vote for Trump for president.” That’s the message Rev Doug Pagitt and his colleagues at Vote Common Good are bringing to Evangelical Christians around America. According to an article in the Minnesota Star Tribune, Rev Pagitt hopes to convince evangelicals that Trump’s “character and actions are so out of sync with Jesus’ teachings that it’s a moral imperative to remove him from office.” Vote Common Good has set up... Read more

If you need more evidence that the President of the United States is a traitor and a quisling, it looks like you’re going to get it. Julian Assange’s own attorney told a court in London today that candidate Donald Trump offered assurances of a Presidential pardon if Assange would help cover up the fact that the Russians were behind the hacks of the Democratic Party. These hacks resulted in leaks, which were released by Assange, that played a huge part... Read more

Two years later, he has been diagnosed with a brain tumor which he believes is an answer to that prayer.  “I prayed in 2018 that if there was some suffering I could undertake on behalf of all the victims, some cross I could carry,... Read more

So, how do we fight monsters without becoming monsters ourselves?  The short answer is that when we operate on our own power, we can’t. The temptations of monster-fighting are many and varied, but the most insidious of them is our ability to parse words, exploit meanings and paste ideas together to form new ideas. In other words, the greatest monster-maker of them all is our own excellent brain and its many talents.  We can convince ourselves of anything. I know.... Read more

Yesterday was a difficult day for me. I had doctor’s appointments for myself, and I had to do the paper work involved in starting my mother in hospice. I also had several meetings with the various nurses and staff who care for her. Then, this morning at 0500, my granddaughter came to stay for the day.  I’m telling you this to explain why I’m not going to write the post I promised yesterday examining how to oppose monsters such as... Read more
