On to Autumn!

Autumn Fires
In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!

Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.

Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!

You keep saying this :) But this autumn is just constant rain and cold every day. I don’t know if it’s the season in general, or just 2012. Plus, the heating/lighting bills started going up about 3 weeks ago and will be unrelenting for months to come. There is only one advantage I can think of though, the fruits and vegetables are quite good at this time of year.

    I like this:

I like your poem entitled AUTUMN FIRES. I especially like the ‘feel’ of it -”Sing a song of seasons!”. The autumn photo is beautifully serene too.
    Here is my poem:

    Autumn colors dancing
    Amidst the smoked filled sky,
Flaunting their leaves of gold and rust
    As people stroll by.

    Whispers of a breeze
    That gently strokes my face,
    Soothes and yet renews
    This lonely place.

As I journey through this path
    on this great autumn day,
I know He walks besides me
As I now dance on my way.
