It’s Official: Russell Crowe to be Noah

The formal announcement hasn’t been made, but Deadline.com is reporting that Darren Aronofsky (director of the dark, Oscar nominated Black Sawn) has signed Russell Crowe to play the iconic Biblical character Noah in his big budget adaptation of the story. Production is slated to begin in July.

Ahoy!

This is in addition to Steven Spielberg’s warrior-leader Moses project.

Should be an interesting few years.
