If you made a commitment to start the day by sending out love to your family members, and then continue radiating love as you travel to work, and then radiate love to all your business associates all through the day, you would be amazed at the results!

I can tell you from my experience of radiating love that it has a dramatic effect on people. They become nicer! This is the truth!

Radiating Love Daily Wasn’t Something I Thought About

Radiating love daily was not something I thought about doing until my bad experience. Let me share what happened to me a few years ago when I traveled to another city for a conference. My trip to the city was one of the most terrible experiences I can ever remember.

It began with going through Security at the airport. I was singled out for the BIG INSPECTION. You know what I mean. You must remove your shoes, and they search your carry-on luggage and handbag.

Unfortunately, I got the Inspector from Hell!

Unfortunately, I got the Inspector from Hell, who was a very angry woman. She yelled at me to remove my shoes, which I did. Then she proceeded to dump everything out of my handbag onto the table. I have never had an inspector do that before.

She then took everything out of my carry-on bag, which contained my toiletries bag, makeup bag, and jewelry bag. And then she went through every single bag, dumping the contents out on the table. I never had an inspector do this either.

And Then I Made a Mistake!

And then I made the mistake of taking my shoes to put them back on as she put everything back into the bags. She whirled around and yelled at me that I was not to touch those shoes! Did I understand I was NOT TO TOUCH THOSE SHOES!

She had already inspected them and didn’t find any bombs hidden in the toe. I was just trying to get moving! Geez, I was there for over 15 minutes and worried that I would miss my flight.

Even More Trauma on the Plane!

As if that experience wasn’t traumatic enough, I ended up getting the very last seat on the plane. This meant that I couldn’t recline the seat. But the kid in front of me reclined his seat, and it was so close to me that I couldn’t even read my book.

On top of that, there was a horrible smell of fuel that was choking me and making me dizzy and sick to my stomach. When I asked to move, they said there weren’t any seats available. So. I was stuck in that seat for two hours, leaving me feeling sick and with a splitting headache when we arrived at my destination.

I Had a Panic Attack Thinking About My Return Trip

As the conference ended and I waited in the hotel lobby for the taxi to pick me up and take me to the airport, I was having a panic attack, thinking about the terrible experience I had on the trip down. And I was wondering if the same thing would happen on my return trip.

And then I stopped and remembered Jesus’ words: “Greater is HE who is in you than HE who is in the world.” Jesus always said that we had the power to overcome anything. So, I began to wonder just how I could use this power to have a happy and uneventful trip home.

I Could Begin to Radiate Love!

Of course! I could begin to radiate love beginning this very moment! I could continue to radiate waves of love to everyone I encountered! And that’s what I began doing!

When the taxi arrived, I continued to radiate love as the driver began chatting with me. He really opened up and began telling me about his family, and his business, and how much he enjoyed driving a taxi.

He got so carried away in one of his stories that, when we arrived at the airport terminal, he asked me if he could drive around one more time so he could finish his story! Wow! What a wonderful experience that was! And he wrote down his telephone number and made me promise to call him if I ever returned to that city.

I Continued Radiating Love in the Terminal

As I walked into the terminal, I continued sending love to the entire room, radiating out to everyone. I couldn’t believe that I went to the front of the checkout line! And the flight attendant who checked me in was so nice and helpful.

And then I headed to Security checkpoint, sending out extra love, remembering my earlier experience. I still don’t know how I ended up in a line that was waved right through with no BAGGAGE CHECK! How did that happen?

And when I boarded the plan and located my seat, which was a middle seat (ugh!), the man on the aisle seat stood up and said, “Here, take my seat and I’ll sit next to my wife. And let me help you with your bags.”

Radiating Love Made My Return Trip a Pleasure!

I have to say that my entire return trip was a pleasure. As I walked to Baggage Claim, I was still radiating love to everyone I saw in the terminal. And as I approached the conveyor and went to pick up my luggage, a man stepped forward and said, “Here, let me get that for you.”

I left the airport in total amazement at what happened when I began radiating love to everyone I encountered. And when my husband pulled up and got me settled in the car, he even remarked, “Well, you look like you had a good time!”
