Charles R. Patrick describes himself on his Twitter profile as a Christian, a conservative, a realist, and a decorated Desert Storm veteran.  

Oh, and a Lakers fan.  (So, he must also be incredibly loyal considering this season.)

He did this video for his fellow black brothers and sisters, that I think has a lot of truth in it for all of us.

Basically, we need to take responsibility for ourselves.  (But he says it much more colorfully.)
