David Beckham Slams Media Busybodies Criticizing His Daughter’s Binkie

Isn’t everyone sick of busybodies?

David Beckham recently took to his Instagram account to respond to some haters in the media who are criticizing the Beckhams’ parenting skills.  Their parenting crime?  Letting their 4-year-old daughter use a pacifier.

A photo of the Beckhams’ youngest daughter sucking on a pacifier led many in the media to respond that the little girl would end up with a speech impediment or dental issues.

Here is Beckham’s response:

Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts ?? Everybody who has children knows that when they aren’t feeling well or have a fever you do what comforts them best and most of the time it’s a pacifier so those who criticize think twice about what you say about other people’s children because actually you have no right to criticize me as a parent …

I know what it is like to have people criticizing your every move as a parent.  I mean they even have the audacity to question my decision to be a parent in the first place.

How about instead of criticizing a dad who is spending time with his daughter, we praise him for putting her first in his life?  It seems to me that more Hollywood dads should take lessons from David Beckham in how to be a present in their kids’ lives.
