I want you to imagine that your eight-year-old daughter is stolen from you. As a parent of three young kids, I know that this is the worst possible nightmare any parent could have. After she is taken, she is sold and smuggled into a foreign land where her innocence is forever shattered. Her new home is a brothel where she is raped repeatedly every day and every night with no hope of rescue.

This sounds like an impossible scenario, but it’s a reality for millions of people around the world who are modern-day slaves. Young women and children are the most common victims and this invisible epidemic is growing larger by the day and now has a presence in small towns and big cities all over America and the world.

The problem is so widespread that trying to fight it feels like attacking a forest fire with only a squirt gun full of water, but when we join together, we can make a positive and be part of rescuing these victims from the clutches of darkness and depravity.

So, here’s what YOU can do (and YES, I’m talking to you). Join me in partnership with Erin Giles who is the founder of End Sex Trafficking Day. I’m asking you to invest 10 dollars to be part of the solution. If we all do our part, we will make a real difference!

I know we’re all strapped for cash, but if it was your little girl out there, wouldn’t you want others to help? This is an emergency and it’s all of our responsibility to help stop it. Give up a couple Starbucks lattes this week and invest those dollars into changing the world. You’ll be glad you did (and so will the people you’re helping to rescue)!
