4. The Grit Test.
A new book was just released with research illustrating how “grit” might be the single most important factor for success in life. I certainly believe that grit is a vital ingredient to a lasting marriage. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, “Grit” is an old-school term which basically just means “the refusal to quit.” Your marriage is probably going to have plenty of seasons and situations where one or both of you feel like calling it quits, but don’t give up! Above all the other tests, makes sure you pass the Grit Test. I hope your commitment to each other is always bigger than your disagreements. Remember that a “perfect marriage” is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other.
