One of the few phrases I remember from two years of high school French is cri de coeur, literally “cry of the heart” but more colloquially a passionate outcry or protest. Bryan Fischer delivered one recently in the most lurid terms imaginable about his fight to the death with Big Gay.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness, accusing their enemies of displaying their own worst traits. ‘Lord’ Christopher Monckton, who would need a promotion to get to be merely an idiot, earns one in this column.

The Bryan Fischer award is given to those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness, accusing their opponents of displaying their own worst traits. But rarely does someone engage in such behavior quite as blatantly as Joseph Farah of the Worldnetdaily, who accuses Joe Conason of being an “activist working undercover as a journalist.” The whole thing began when a news site accidentally sent out a Farah column under Conason’s byline.

The Bryan Fischer award is given to those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness, accusing their opponents of displaying their own worst traits. Here’s Sarah Palin in an interview with Newsbusters talking about the Martin Bashir situation:

My dear friend Genie Scott is retiring as the executive director of the National Center for Science Education and the NCSE board named Ann Reid, who looks like she could be Genie’s sister, as her replacement. So the Discovery Institute’s David Klinghoffer put up a snarky post on their blog calling the NCSE a “leading science-denial group.” And heads hit desks everywhere.

You’re a Christian and you buy a new house, but you don’t know what went on before you bought it. I mean, gay people may have had sex there. So Bryan Fischer is here to help you exorcise those “demonic spirits” from the property. And this is funny stuff.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to people with a staggering lack of self-awareness, routinely accusing their opponents of their own worst traits. And I laughed out loud when I heard Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel say that “hyperbole is responsible for all of the world’s problems.”

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display are incredibly oblivious to their own contradictions and accuse their opponents of their own worst traits. And for Joseph Farah to write a column entitled “How journalist lost its way” is enough to destroy every irony meter in the solar system. This from the guy whose outlet just the other day took an article in Politico entitled “President Obama blogs in favor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act” and retitled it “Obama blogs in favor of sexual perversion.” Joseph Farah pretending to be an advocate for good journalism is like Chris Brown opening a charm school.

You have to watch the video below. I promise you, it’s hilarious. A caller to Bryan Fischer’s radio show suggested that instead of the Affordable Care Act, the government should just give everyone a million dollars, since that would cover any medical expenses they have. Fischer is very excited about the idea, noting that there are 315 million Americans and the lifetime cap on health insurance policies is usually $2 million.

Now that Ted Cruz has ingratiated himself with the far right and made enemies of pretty much everyone else, he’s bucking for a Bryan Fischer Award with his weapons-grade projection in claiming that it’s his opponents who are willing to “inflict a bunch of harm” on the country for political gain.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display astonishing levels of projection, accusing their enemies of their own worst sins. This award goes to David Horowitz, who says that liberals consider “anybody who doubts or opposes their program as the party of Satan.” No, David. We don’t believe in Satan. You do.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display a staggering lack of self-awareness, continually accusing their opponents of their own worst traits. And at this point, we might as well call it the Bryan Fischer – Glenn Beck Award. In an interview with the New York Times, Beck put his obliviousness to irony on full display by decrying how divided Americans are:
