My Instagram(ed) life…

We took the boys to a race for health sponsored by the Y.  I’m pretty sure it was meant to help fight childhood obesity…only none of the kids there were actually obese.

#Ironical

There was a giant unsupervised bouncy thing and I’m not even kidding the kids were going wild, it was like freaking Lord of The Flies up in that mug.

Of course, R2 scaled the 10 foot wall on his first try!

Race time came & R2 was done.  Even though the hubs took them both out to train the previous week, R2 cried and complained the whole race.  Kept mumbling something about the stroller!

After it was over…back to the bouncy thing.  He went through 28 times –AT LEAST.

A little light reading for R2.  He was reading to our cat, Little Jerri Seinfeld saying, “just one more book, okay Jewy, okay?”

Last Sunday, the hubs & I celebrated our 12th yr. anniversary so I had to take a picture of an old picture.  Yep, we’ve been married long enough that digital camera’s were barely a thing.  At that time, cell phones were about $600 and weighed 45 pounds.

After Church last Sunday, Rhysie was carrying around his beloved, Curious George on his back.

Can you see all the sweat?  It’s been warm here in our neck of the woods.  How about yours?

So.  A few days ago I wanted to take the kids for a very “quick” trip to grab milk, maybe eggs and bread.  Of course we are in the back of the store when R1 says he’s gotta go #2.  30 MINUTES LATER he’s FINALLY done and R2 is losing it.

I promise R2 a horsey ride after being forced to sit still waiting for his brother to poo.  Then we get back to shopping, finally check out and spend 15 minutes with the horse.

2 HOURS LATER, multiple horsey rides & 2 chocolate doughnuts we leave.  And that my friends, is why I try like heck not to ever bring the kids with me to the grocery store.

(Did I mention R2 also ate a banana and a pear? BEFORE the doughnut of course!  Sheesh, what kind of parent do you take me for??? lol =)

Dave & I accidentally matched the other day.

(not on purpose)

…mortifying…

Still slogging through trying to grow my hair out…

…throwing on wigs at every available opportunity…

I so appreciate the hubs teaching R1 in non-conventional learning styles…

…here he’s teaching him to count to 100 by 2’s, 5’s & 10’s using sidewalk chalk on our driveway.

R1 loves our cat “little Jewy,” but unfortanately Little Jewy isn’t too wild about Rhysie yet.  The hubs had to hold her on him.  Made for a cute pic though! =)

Yesterday I took the boys to a local park where there’s a fountain which shoots up from the pavement….

…of course they had a blast…

It was the perfect thing to do in 86 degree weather.

So.  How was your past week?  Did you get into anything interesting?

I’m happy to tell you I have some actual writing to share with you.  I realize I’ve been almost all images, photography and fashion for the past month or so!  Yes, I’ve been busy but also going through some major changes and honestly I haven’t known exactly how to talk about it or even how NOT to talk about it.  I haven’t known what to say or what NOT to say.

I guess for once in my life, I’m tongue-tied!  It’s been strange not saying much, but I am eager to get back to writing soon.

Later gators! =)
