Watch: Actors and audiences discuss The Young Messiah March 17, 2016

The Young Messiah had a softer opening than expected last week, but the filmmakers have said they hope it’ll stay afloat between now and Easter — and to that end, they have released a few new promotional videos. Check ’em out below the jump.

First, there is this eight-minute behind-the-scenes video that was apparently shown at private screenings of the film before it came out. It includes soundbites from writer-director Cyrus Nowrasteh, co-writer Betsy Giffen Nowrasteh, producer Chris Columbus, marketing chief Paul Lauer, and actors Adam Greaves-Neal (Jesus), Sara Lazzaro (Mary), Vincent Walsh (Joseph) and Sean Bean (Severus):

I especially like some of the comments Lazzaro makes, re: her chemistry with Walsh, and the possibility of Greaves-Neal watching this film again when he’s an adult.
