Where did the week go?

Another seven days on our epic road trip have zipped by. This week finds us in the Midwest — in Schaumburg, in Chicago and now at a lake house in Indiana. This part of the country is so different from New York City. Our time in the heartland is yet another reminder for me of how diverse and beautiful our Church can be!

One of the best aspects of the week was the opportunity to be present with so many friends and colleagues at the Catholic Marketing Network and Catholic Writers Guild conferences. I’ll have plenty of follow up on those, but suffice it to say that there was much prayer, networking, learning and fun to be had in Schaumburg. The projects that we discussed will play out over the next year. The connections will bear fruit. The topics born in chance meetings in the hallways or on the Expo floor will be fully developed. But those of us fortunate enough to gather together are already glowing from the immediate blessing of our time with one another!
